I recently returned from a trip to Paraguay. I went there because I felt God was telling me to and also because it made sense to me. I contacted a few people, booked some ights and saw God guide me and open the doors for me. Not really knowing what to expect over there I was praying that God would use me and my mechanic skills and make me useful. I had planned to have six weeks with the Ache Indians in Puerto Barra helping them x their motorbikes, chainsaws, tractors etc but I only had a couple weeks with them and only did a couple small x ups on a couple of their motorbikes.

The rest of the two weeks I spent hanging with, living with and just trying to show Jesus’ love to them. I played a lot of soccer and volleyball and really enjoyed that time. I felt a bit useless sometimes too but focusing on doing what God wants helped keep me on track. The rest of the time over there God hooked me up with some more awesome people who showed me heaps of the country and history of it.

The trip deepened my faith, made me more aware of the need for the Good News to be shared and grew me in many ways. God is good and the best way to see that is by doing what He wants.

“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart” Psalm 37:4.
