Please continue to pray for those in the Philippines who have been severely impacted by the devastation of this typhoon.

In Guiuan, the chapel building and many of the homes of believers connected with the work were destroyed. Communications are disrupted and as you will have seen through the media, basic infrastructure is badly damaged. Priority is being given to meet basic needs of water, food and medicine for the injured and displaced people. This is the city where an Australian family with AMT, Paul & Gerrah Kulikovsky, along with son Ivan, was based.

Looting and violence are being reported there. In a text message, Gerrah reported that she is fearful for the safety of Paul and Ivan as they remain in Guiuan. It may be perceived by local nationals that, as a missionary family, they have food and the needs will drive others in the community to bring harm to them if necessary. There are reports of prisoners escaping from a local jail bringing harm to others as they seek basic needs.

This is just one situation we need to pray into for God's protection and help. It is but one of many situations where food is a critical need.

Last week we remitted an initial tranche of $10,000 to Christian Missions in the Philippines for the relief of suffering. A second remittance will be sent this week. We can also remit funds directly to the Kulikovsky family. If you wish to partner with us in getting funds to where it is needed most, please send your gifts by -
