20-thank-you-1024x791We want to say a big 'Thank You' to everyone who has contributed to the two  appeals we have running at the moment. Our policy is to provide funds as a  secondary response to crises using reliable Christian people and organisations  to provide the practical help in ways that demonstrates God's love to the  communities affected.

To date $29,475 we have collected for relief of the devastation caused by Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu. We have applied  $13,000 of that by contributing –

- $3,000 to a building team from Rutland St Church to help rebuild the Marine Reach and YWAM base in Port Villa
- $5,000 towards the cost of sending a container of building materials and supplies organised by people from Raleigh St CC for rebuilding the SU camp, a community centre & facilities for two Christian families

- $5,000 to Missionary Ventures who are providing portable sawmills to communities reconstructing their facilities.

We have received $10,595 for the people of Nepal affected by the recent earthquakes there. To date we have directed

$2,500 to help supply food & shelter to 500 families who lost their homes & to generally help them get back on their feet.

We continue to work with other parties to place the remainder of both these appeal funds, with the intent to get funds  distributed to acceptable projects as soon as we can. Please continue to pray for the people in these  two locations as  they work to rebuild their lives and their communities. And please continue to give financially to them as God directs  you.
