Living with diabetes in a 3rd world country has its trials. A patient I treated in May was in a deep coma. Relatives had taken him off to Dilolo 45 kms away, probably to a witchdoctor or prophet. The wife declares that he was fine there but was also receiving insulin. We gave him insulin and got him conscious again, talking and able to eat. In the meantime one of our teachers is brought in unconscious, but he is actually dead - no vital signs. We have to tell a wife that although he looks asleep there is no sign of life. Life is so fragile. We don't know when the Lord might take us. There are lots of opportunities. We watched the DVD 'God is not dead'. Praise the Lord that he is the one who gives us hope.
