gc32-1024x682As I reflect on the often-cited call that Congo needs missionaries. I have been gratefully comforted with the realisation that D.R.Congo has an army of missionaries. In spite of the mass exodus of the expatriate missionaries during the conflict of the 90's. Congolese Doctors, Administrators, Teachers, and Evangelist's have methodically moved from following, to the developing of plans & action that advance the Church. The shift from dependency on foreign missionaries to the engagement and trust in their God whom remained when expat missionaries left has been a major factor in the advance of indigenous mission in D.R.Congo. The question for me as a foreign missionary is: do I believe that God's Church is best advanced by the Congolese Spirit-lead Christian?
