CLTC's 167 hectare farm and residential campus with 600 residents is situated at 1,525 metres altitude in the expansive fertile Wahgi Valley at Banz, 40 km from Mt. Hagen. There are teaching facilities also in the coastal city of Lae and the capital Port Moresby.


1. CLTC urgently seeks a Technical Services Manager/Mentor to oversee, develop and inspire the national Managers leading CLTC's technical services departments. These services support the College's educational and agricultural enterprises. The latter earn a significant portion of the income required to fund the diploma, degree and post graduate masters level training, offered by this "Institute of Higher Education", serving the churches of PNG and the South Pacific.

The technical services include: Carpentry, Engineering, Plumbing, Electrical and IT departments.


2. The key roles for the Technical Services Manager are to:

Mentor, up-skill, develop, encourage and inspire the managers in their abilities, and to plan, initiate and monitor appropriate professional development processes, and to participate in their spiritual development and well-being, so as to build an efficient, unified, productive technical services team.

Work with these managers to coordinate projects and repairs, ensure clear lines of communication, documenting and recording project details as necessary, understanding and adherence to fiscal planning and accounting processes, regular effective reporting, and responsible decision-making processes

Be willing and actively to seek to understand the PNG cultural characteristics of the College's employees.

3. The successful applicant will bring to this role:

Experience in mentoring and inspiring people informed by Biblical values.

Experience in at least one of the services listed above (with a basic working knowledge of the others).

Experience in a cross cultural environment would be helpful.

A willingness to develop respectful relationships with Papua New Guineans, and a desire to learn and understand their culture so as to best fulfill this mentoring and coordinating role.
