Pray for Fiji currently experiencing flash flooding, washouts and landslips. Houses are sliding down - and many people who live in villages and compounds have become displaced and some have their lives in danger. The town of Sigatoka where we stay, has had flooding of the river and surrounds and the water has been lapping the floorboards of the Gospel Chapel. Give thanks that after years of dialogue Ashley and the elders at Sigatoka Gospel Assembly have negotiated with local village landowners trying to secure an amicable lease for the existing church land. A breakthrough came two days before we returned to New Zealand last month and the Native Land Trust Board confirmed a 99 year lease and allocated quarter of an acre.
