John is undergoing tests in hospital in Johannesburg to determine the site and treatment for a bacterial infection. John became sick on Sunday afternoon and was flown out of Kalene on Tuesday 26 June. He has similar symptoms as in February 2009 when he was diagnosed with prostatitis and needed a long course of intravenous antibiotics to treat it.
We are grateful to have John in hospital before his condition got really bad. He is feverish and uncomfortable, but not seriously ill yet. His condition is being carefully watched, while we wait for lab culture results. Please pray for a clear diagnosis so that treatment can be started.
Pray for strength for Dr Kapaya, the only doctor at Kalene with over 100 patients.
Pray for John & Rachel's children who are in Zambia waiting for the return of their parents.
