We've been in the South Island visiting family and friends. It's been a lovely time. Last Tuesday morning Wendy woke up with a blinding headache and really sore left eye. The GP sent her to the Christchurch hospital eye clinic and after examination she was admitted. She has a growth pushing on the left eye and it's to be removed tommorrow – then we'll know what it is, though the specialist said it's not obviously cancerous. So this means a change of plans and, as in all things, God has it in hand and is not surprised. We are at peace, quietly trusting that God will have it sorted before we leave.

PRAY: for operation to go smoothly and clarity regarding treatment.
PRAISE: for prompt diagnosis, a wise GP and that we weren't overseas.
